WHEN YOU MISS VALUE BETS
Value betting is a good means to separate a great poker player from a good player. Betting has done by a person when he is having the nuts. However, it is a tricky thing to get utmost value from the marginal poker hands.
Value betting depends upon the game and it is very situational. If you are playing limit holdem games, you should bet quite aggressively. Since very small bets have found here in comparison with the gambling pot, people use very weak hands for calling your value bets.
The situation is very tricky for the No-Limit holdem poker games. Initially, you should have the knowledge about the cards with your opponents. If you put your opponent on his cards, it will not only helpful for you to determine whether you have beaten him or not, but also become helpful for you to determine your betting limit.
Furthermore, you should consider the category of the player about your opponent. A casual poker player will be willing to call his bets the strength of which is equivalent to the strength of their hand. Therefore, if you think that there is a weak poker hand with a player, the bet must be smaller as you wish that your opponent should call.
However, if you are playing with a strong poker player, then you must be aware about the things they feel about you. A casual player considers only his own cards, whereas a strong poker player thinks about your cards as well.
Probably, you will be putting on a hand by a strong player. Therefore, you will not be wishing to bet depending upon the power of his hand, but on what as per your opponents believe you have. For example, as per your views only a bluff is beatable by your opponent, then making a bet that would be seeming like a bluff is essential for you. The size of the bets whether it is a larger or smaller one, depends upon the situation of the game.
Value betting involves situations and complexities that it is impossible to teach. It is like no need to teach anything to great players as they have a definite edge over the good poker players.
